Broadcast

Overview

Broadcast sends one approved WhatsApp Message Template to a selected group of Contacts. Use it for a planned campaign or announcement, not for one-to-one support. You need a connected WhatsApp channel, approved templates, and Contacts before you send.

Before you begin

Confirm that the agent has:

  • A connected WhatsApp channel
  • An Approved Message Template
  • Enough eligible Contacts
  • An audience with a legitimate reason to receive the message

Review Meta policy and expected template cost.

Create a Broadcast

Avoid sending a test campaign to a production audience.

  1. Open Broadcast and choose the new Broadcast action.
  2. Select the WhatsApp channel and Approved template.
  3. Define the audience using available Contact criteria.
  4. Review the recipient count.
  5. Preview the template with its parameters.
  6. Use the Cost Calculator for the expected provider charge — see Usage and billing.
  7. Choose the available send or schedule option.
  8. Confirm only after checking audience, template, and timing.

Review history

History is paginated. Successfully sent Broadcast messages also appear in the customer's Inbox thread and Action History, which helps teammates understand later replies.

  1. Open Broadcast history.
  2. Select a Broadcast to review its overview, recipients, and status.

Protect channel quality

Use specific audiences, useful content, and reasonable frequency. Monitor failures and customer replies. Repeated irrelevant sends can harm trust and may affect the connected WhatsApp account.
